Just a one-minute English speech by ThinkingFox. Next month, JAXA is set to launch MMX, a probe(探査機) to explore the moons of Mars. After the launch, the probe is expected to enter orbit(軌道) around Mars in 2027. Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos, and this mission's destination is Phobos, where the probe will collect samples from the surface. The main goal of the mission is to determine the origin of Phobos. This is because the question has long been debated, with two main hypotheses. The first is that Phobos was originally an asteroid(小惑星), later captured by Mars's gravity. The second is that a large object struck Mars, blasting debris(破片) into space that later came together to form Phobos. Analyzing samples from the surface of Phobos will help determine which hypothesis is correct. Notably, this will be the world's first mission to bring samples back from the Martian system(火星圏). I sincerely hope this mission succeeds. That's it. See you next time.
