Yours Truly Johnny Dollar: “The Cronin Matter, Part 3,” originally broadcast on CBS on December 7, 1955. This is episode 280, the third of five 15-minute installments in the serial, starring Bob Bailey as insurance investigator Johnny Dollar.
Johnny continues his assignment to safeguard the Circle of Fire, a lavish diamond-and-emerald necklace belonging to former Broadway personality Dolly McLean Cronin. As a small party travels toward an Adirondacks reunion, Dollar sizes up the people, memories, and motives surrounding the heavily insured jewel. Written by Les Crutchfield and directed by Jack Johnstone, the episode also features Virginia Gregg, John Dehner, and Parley Baer.
Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
