Yours Truly Johnny Dollar - "The Crystal Lake Matter Part 1" (Old Time Radio)

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents “The Crystal Lake Matter, Part 1,” originally broadcast on CBS Radio on August 13, 1956. In this first chapter of a five-part serial, Bob Bailey stars as insurance investigator Johnny Dollar. Written by Robert White and produced and directed by Jack Johnstone, it is commonly listed as episode 456.

Dollar is assigned to investigate the disappearance of Denver real-estate man Edward Russell, whose supposed business trip leaves behind a trail of conflicting clues. A travel folder points him toward the mountain resort of Crystal Lake, where questions about a mysterious man named Bill and an encounter with heiress Betty Norton deepen the case.

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
