Gunsmoke presents “Target,” episode 324 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast on June 22, 1958. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this Les Crutchfield story, produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.
Around Dodge City and the nearby ranch country, young Danny Leeds clashes with his father over his relationship with Naomi, a young woman from a traveling community. As family authority and local prejudice raise the stakes, Matt Dillon is drawn into a tense and deeply personal dispute.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
