The Shadow presents “The Ghost Building,” originally broadcast January 12, 1941. In this Mutual Broadcasting System episode, sponsored by Blue Coal, Bill Johnstone stars as Lamont Cranston alongside Marjorie Anderson as Margot Lane.
Wealthy builder Jerome Need is ready to unveil the towering Coast Building when warnings of death and vengeance begin to surround the project. As accidents and public threats give the new skyscraper its sinister “Ghost Building” nickname, Lamont and Margot investigate the fears haunting its opening.
The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
