The Shadow presents “Valley of Living Terror,” originally broadcast October 13, 1946. This Mutual Broadcasting System episode, sponsored by Blue Coal, is commonly listed as episode 279 and stars Bret Morrison as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow. It was written by Joe Bates Smith.
Lamont Cranston and Margo Lane are drawn into danger high above a remote jungle valley, where a distraught armed woman and an isolated wilderness set the stage for mounting uncertainty and terror.
The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
