The Six Shooter presents “The Silver Buckle,” episode 18, originally broadcast on NBC on January 17, 1954. James Stewart stars as drifting troubleshooter Britt Ponset in this sustaining Western series.
After two outlaws rob the Cheyenne train of cash and a silver belt buckle, Britt joins Kit and Lex Springer on a hard pursuit through a rugged mountain pass. Written by Frank Burt and directed by Jack Johnstone, the adventure finds Britt weighing the trail ahead—and the stories told by the men riding beside him.
Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
