When Doc Adams reports a disturbing visit to an isolated prairie homestead, Matt and Chester ride out to investigate. A wary woman, an injured husband, and conflicting explanations turn a routine concern into a tense frontier mystery involving suspicion, private vengeance, and the limits of a marshal’s authority.
