Are G6 Teams Getting SCREWED by the New 24-Team Playoff? | Sun Belt Podcast

College football’s playoff shake-up threatens to sideline G6 contenders—will Sun Belt powerhouses like James Madison University and Boise State be left out in the cold?

Dave Schultz breaks down the debate over the proposed 24-team playoff format, spotlighting potential disadvantages for Group of 6 programs as major conferences angle for more at-large bids. Is this expansion just another money grab for the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12, or do smaller programs still have a shot at the big stage?

Key matchups previewed include Marshall vs. James Madison, with the Thundering Herd aiming to upset the Dukes, and Georgia State vs. Old Dominion, as Quinn Henicle’s injury status could tilt the odds.

Schultz analyzes offensive and defensive stats across the Sun Belt, highlights teams to watch, and questions whether ODU can keep pace with high-powered Georgia State. Can any G6 squad break through under the new postseason model?
