Will Washington, Oregon BATTLE For College Football Playoff DREAMS In November?

Could the Washington Huskies’ success be a good thing for the Oregon Ducks as both teams look to boost their College Football Playoff hopes in 2026? Can Dan Lanning’s roster capitalize if Jedd Fisch and the Huskies rack up wins before their rivalry clash in Eugene? Locked On Ducks host Spencer McLaughlin and Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff trade bold predictions, examine resume-building wins, and debate potential chaos scenarios involving USC, Penn State, and Indiana in the Big Ten landscape.

The conversation spotlights Kodi Greene’s debut at left tackle for Washington, key battles in the trenches against Oregon’s defensive line, headlined by Bear Alexander, A'Mauri Washington, and Nasir Wyatt, and questions about emerging playmakers in both teams’ backfields. With new faces on both sides and the 12-team playoff looming, every rivalry week storyline carries playoff implications. Will Washington’s rising young talent, with Demond Williams Jr., Trez Davis, Jordan Clay, and Derek Colman-Brusa close the gap on the Ducks?

Buckle up for an action-packed season preview with playoff stakes on the line.
