Washington Has HIGH UPSIDE To COMPETE For College Football Playoff In 2026

The Washington Huskies’ young talent is shining at fall practice, signaling a high-upside defense under Ryan Walters primed for Big Ten contention in 2026. Can freshman standouts like Ramzak Fruean and JD Hill supercharge a pass rush ready to break out? Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff spotlights a confident defensive core anchored by Alex McLaughlin and Rylon Dillard-Allen, plus a promising linebacker group led by Jacob Manu, Xe'ree Alexander, and Zaydrius Rainey-Sale.

Offensively, competition is heating up at wide receiver, with Christian Moss and Dezmen Roebuck pushing to fill Denzel Boston’s shoes, while newcomer Kodi Greene is looking to help anchor an elite offensive line led by John Mills and Drew Azzopardi. Insights on the evolving depth chart, key injury updates, and a look at the quarterback backup race between Elijah Brown and Dash Beierly round out two more days of fall camp.
