BREAKING: Mets Drop the Interim Tag, Name Andy Green Manager | Signs a Three-Year Deal with the Mets

New York Mets drop the interim tag and officially name Andy Green as manager, locking him in with a three-year deal.

Has the front office finally found the right leader to spark a new era in Queens?

Ryan Finkelstein explores how Green’s leadership style and farm system expertise have transformed the Mets post-trade deadline, spotlighting key young contributors like Carson Benge, Zac Thornton, and Christian Scott.

The breakdown covers missed opportunities to make this move sooner, the positive shift in clubhouse culture, and what Green’s continuity means for player development.

Plus, hear analysis of Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Bo Bichette’s roles in a strengthened core, potential offseason moves, and why stability behind the bench could propel the Mets back into playoff contention.

Can the Mets turn this late-season surge into a postseason run in 2027?
