Ole Miss vs Vanderbilt Pregame LIVE: Will The Storm Decide It?

Everyone is watching the radar. That's the wrong worry. Rain doesn't decide football games; a defense that missed 62 tackles for 482 yards does, and today in Nashville is its first chance to answer for Gainesville. The weather that can change this game is the wind, up to 45 mph in gusts under a Wind Advisory, and a lightning delay nobody wants.

Today: Ole Miss at Vanderbilt. Kickoff 3:30 PM ET / 2:30 PM CT on ESPN.

Steven Willis goes live with Mike Huesmann and Corey Burton of Locked On Vandy for the last word before kickoff: the storm, Jared Curtis's return, Kewan Lacy's status as the final availability report drops, what each side has to do, and a final score from everyone, including you in the chat.

📌 THREE THINGS

1. The weather is real. Isaias's remnants put Nashville under a Wind Advisory through 8 PM CT and a Flood Watch through Sunday morning, with thunderstorms possible. SEC rules suspend play for lightning within eight miles, and the clock restarts only after 30 minutes without a strike. Rain doesn't decide games. Wind and lightning delays can.

2. Vanderbilt gets its freshman back. Jared Curtis, the five-star who missed Georgia, was off Friday's availability report entirely. Corey Burton of Locked On Vandy says Vandy's offense still has no identity, and Pete Golding has planned for Curtis, Blaze Berlowitz and both at once.

3. Kewan Lacy is still questionable. The final availability report drops 90 minutes before kickoff, during this stream, and Golding has already said Lacy won't take 40 to 50 snaps. The question underneath it all: does the defense that missed 62 tackles for 482 yards show up today?
