Ole Miss Must Dominate Vanderbilt | Game Day With Locked On Bets

Two straight weeks, an SEC team has lost the week after its biggest game: Ole Miss at Florida, then Florida at Missouri. So everyone is nervous about Ole Miss in Nashville. That's the wrong spot. Ole Miss is the rested team, coming off a bye, and Vanderbilt has scored 29 points in its last two games. Kevin Rogers of Locked On Bets and Steven Willis both point to LSU at Kentucky as today's letdown game.

Today: Ole Miss at Vanderbilt. 2:30 PM CT / 3:30 PM ET, ESPN.

Steven Willis and Kevin Rogers of Locked On Bets work the SEC Saturday: Kentucky, Florida, Alabama-Georgia in the storm's path, Red River, and why Ole Miss can't just win at Vanderbilt. It has to dominate.

📌 THREE THINGS

1. The letdown game is in Lexington. Ole Miss got popped at Florida a week after LSU, and Florida got popped at Missouri a week after Ole Miss. Steven's candidate this week is LSU at Kentucky: homecoming, throwback uniforms, a blueout and Lane Kiffin on the visiting sideline. Kevin agrees, saying Kentucky "keeps showing up and playing well."

2. The storm hits the big games too. Alabama-Georgia could be under the weather system, and Steven cites Mike Leach: wind affects passing more than anything else. In Red River, Steven sees two shaky offenses and a strong Texas defense, which makes for unpredictable football; Kevin still sides with Texas.

3. Ole Miss has to dominate. Steven expects a better defense after a bye-week practice built on one call. Kevin calls Vanderbilt "a must-win and must-dominate circumstance" with Missouri and Texas next, and Vandy has scored 29 points in its last two games. Steven: lose today and the playoff talk is over.
