TRIPLE H BURIES GUILIA, DOES VERY LITTLE TO GET US EXCITED FOR SUMMERSLAM | WWE SmackDown Review (7/31/26)

Tonight is the GO HOME Show for Friday Night SmackDown before SummerSlam. After what was one of the worst WWE Raw shows of the decade, can Triple H and his writing team reedem themselves, and get people excited for SummerSlam this weekend?

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will come face to face one final time before their blockbuster Undisputed WWE Championship Match this weekend at SummerSlam. Damian Priest & R-Truth are set to put their title on the line against Erik and Ivar in a Champion vs Champion match. Giulia will square off against Lash Legend to determine who will join the Women's Ladder match at Summerslam for the Interim Women's Championship. And, after being attacked by Baron Corbin after the show went off the air last week on SmackDown, Trick Williams will address his challenger for the United States Championship at SummerSlam.
