Essentials in Leadership | Episode 14 | Maturity

What happens when insecurity, comparison, and envy quietly keep leaders from growing into the fullness of who God created them to be? In Episode 14 of "Essentials in Leadership," Duane Sheriff teaches that spiritual maturity begins by seeing ourselves through the lens of who we are in Christ rather than through the limitations of the flesh. Christ in us is the hope of glory, and understanding our identity in Him frees us from jealousy, inferiority, and the pressure to compare ourselves with others.

Drawing from Colossians, Corinthians, and the parable of the talents, Duane explains that God intentionally created every person unique, with different gifts, abilities, assignments, and measures of grace. Maturity is not becoming someone else—it is faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to us. Healthy leadership flows from security in Christ, not competition with others. Learn how to embrace your God-given design, reject comparison, and grow into fruitful, joyful, and productive maturity in the kingdom of God.
