South Korean actress Jo Bo Ah has officially joined the cast of TVING’s upcoming drama The Obedient Killer, replacing Lee Chung Ah, who had to withdraw from the project following a traffic accident that aggravated a pre-existing back condition.
Jo Bo Ah’s agency confirmed on October 17, 2026, that the actress had joined the production and begun filming that day.
She will portray Lee Hwa Ra, known by the codename “Miss Lee,” a composed and highly trained woman whose story unfolds against the backdrop of the 1970s and 1980s. The series combines action and noir elements with a story about a woman whose plans for a conventional family life take an unexpected turn.
Lee Chung Ah had initially been cast in the role and had already participated in some filming. However, the physical demands of the drama’s action scenes made continuing difficult during her recovery.
The project also marks Jo Bo Ah’s return to the small screen following the birth of her first child in February 2026. Fans are now looking forward to seeing her take on this new role.
