Former American Idol contestant and Ohio worship pastor Caleb Flynn is on trial for the February 2026 murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege Caleb shot Ashley while she slept inside their Tipp City home, then staged the scene to resemble a burglary.

But the defense argues there is no murder weapon, eyewitness, surveillance footage, gunshot residue or forensic evidence directly proving Caleb fired the shots. They accuse investigators of focusing on him after discovering his affair. Caleb has pleaded not guilty. Now jurors must decide whether disturbing messages and circumstantial evidence prove murder, or merely create suspicion.
