On September 13, 2026, Australian father Damien John Shaw and his two young children were found dead inside their rented bungalow in Legian, Bali. Their mother was visiting family in Jakarta when she became concerned after losing contact with them and noticing something unusual with the home's CCTV camera.
Neighbors eventually forced their way inside and discovered the three bodies. Police now believe Shaw killed his six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter before taking his own life. Security footage became crucial to reconstructing what happened inside the bungalow, including the younger child's attempt to escape from her father. But one question remains unanswered: why?
