Box 13 presents “Daytime Nightmare,” originally broadcast May 15, 1949. In episode 39, Alan Ladd stars as adventure-seeking writer Dan Holiday.
A mysterious lunch invitation sends Dan to the Golden Arrow, only for him to wake in a sanitarium where everyone insists he is a man named Edward Stokes. Written by Russell Hughes and directed by Richard Sanville, this tense mistaken-identity drama also features Sylvia Picker as Suzy.
Box 13 presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
