Suspense presents “Sorry, Wrong Number,” originally broadcast on CBS on September 6, 1945. This celebrated thriller, written by Lucille Fletcher, stars Agnes Moorehead as the bedridden Mrs. Stevenson.
From her Manhattan apartment, Mrs. Stevenson repeatedly tries to reach her husband, only to overhear a troubling crossed telephone connection. With a crime seemingly in the making and time running short, she must rely on operators, uncertain voices, and a telephone line that may be her only link to help.
The 50 Greatest Old Time Radio Shows presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
