Fibber McGee and Molly presents “The Mystery Is Solved,” originally broadcast on NBC on February 2, 1955. This local archival recording is episode 1089 of the series and stars Jim Jordan as Fibber McGee and Marian Jordan as Molly McGee.
In the concluding chapter of a three-part domestic mystery, Fibber follows the trail of a missing household garbage can at the McGees’ home in Wistful Vista. The everyday problem receives the pair’s familiar comic treatment in this 15-minute weekday-era installment.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
