Fibber McGee and Molly, “Paying the Bills,” originally broadcast February 5, 1952. Episode 684 of the long-running NBC comedy stars Jim and Marian Jordan as Fibber and Molly McGee, with Pet Milk sponsorship.
A routine effort to settle household bills and mail out checks becomes the basis for Fibber’s latest comic complication. The February 1952 broadcast was written by Phil Leslie and also features Richard LeGrand and Harlow Wilcox.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
