Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Welcoming Latrivia Home from War,” episode 447 of the classic radio comedy, originally broadcast on October 2, 1945. This 1945–46 season opener stars Jim and Marian Jordan, with Gale Gordon returning as Mayor La Trivia.
Wistful Vista gathers at the railroad station to welcome Mayor La Trivia home from wartime service in the Pacific. As the town plans its official reception, Fibber tries to claim a suitably prominent place in the festivities. The episode was heard on NBC with music by Billy Mills and His Orchestra.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
