Fibber McGee and Molly presents “No News Is Bad News,” episode 435 of the classic radio comedy, originally broadcast April 10, 1945. This 30-minute NBC program was sponsored by Johnson’s Wax and stars Jim and Marian Jordan as Fibber and Molly McGee.
A newspaper delivery sets Fibber at odds with the neighborhood paperboy, touching off a domestic-comedy mix-up in Wistful Vista. Also cataloged as “No Newspaper” and “Newspaper Show,” this installment finds the McGees in typically lively form over a very local dispute.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
