Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Seventh War Bond Drive,” episode 441 of Fibber McGee and Molly, originally broadcast on NBC on May 22, 1945. Starring Jim and Marian Jordan as Fibber and Molly McGee, this wartime episode was written by Phil Leslie and sponsored by Johnson’s Wax.
As the U.S. Treasury’s Seventh War Loan Drive gets underway, Fibber takes on the ambitious job of preparing a musical arrangement for a war-bond rally. The familiar Wistful Vista comedy turns his civic-minded assignment into a lively home-front radio diversion.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
