Fibber McGee and Molly presents “The Hardware Dealer,” episode 101 of the classic radio comedy, originally broadcast March 15, 1937. Jim Jordan stars as Fibber McGee, with Marian Jordan as Molly McGee.
When a local hardware dealer must leave town, Fibber volunteers to mind the store. His confident approach to serving customers turns a routine day behind the counter into a series of comic misunderstandings, with Molly watching closely. This early Chicago-era broadcast aired on the NBC Red Network and was sponsored by Johnson’s Wax.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
