CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents “The Shadow of a Killer,” originally broadcast February 11, 1981, as episode 1158. This contemporary mystery stars Fred Gwynne and was written by Sam Dann and directed by Himan Brown.
When a woman’s husband disappears, she seeks help from an actor known for playing a hard-boiled television detective. As he steps beyond his screen role to investigate a real missing-person case, the boundary between television fiction and reality begins to blur.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
