Gunsmoke presents “Trojan War,” the 45th original radio episode of Gunsmoke, first broadcast on CBS on February 28, 1953. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer as Chester and Georgia Ellis as Kitty. Written by Les Crutchfield and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this was a CBS sustaining broadcast.
Dillon grows uneasy when the notorious Pueblo Gang arrives in Dodge City. After the Buckeye stage is robbed and a passenger is wounded, the marshal faces a mounting threat to travelers and the town.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
