Gunsmoke presents “The Killer,” episode 95 of the classic CBS Radio series, originally broadcast February 13, 1954. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer as Chester and Georgia Ellis as Kitty. The episode was written by John Meston and produced by Norman Macdonnell.
In Dodge City, a dangerous gunman named Kriego arrives with a deadly habit of provoking men he thinks he can beat, then hiding behind claims of self-defense. Matt Dillon and Chester must recognize the threat before his intimidation turns into further violence.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
