Gunsmoke presents “Doc’s Reward,” episode 212 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast April 29, 1956. Written by John Meston and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, it stars William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon and Howard McNear as Doc Adams.
Doc is headed out of Dodge City to treat a patient when trouble on the road puts him under unexpected scrutiny back in town. As tensions build around Matt Dillon’s longtime friend, the marshal must sort through a difficult situation in Dodge City.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
