Gunsmoke presents “Bum’s Rush” (also cataloged as “Bums Rush”), episode 52 of the classic CBS Radio series, originally broadcast on April 18, 1953. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this 30-minute sustaining broadcast, written by John Meston and produced by Norman Macdonnell.
Dillon brings two men accused of murder back to Dodge City, but the case grows more uncertain when unexpected witnesses come forward with evidence on their behalf. Featuring the regular radio ensemble with guest performers including John Dehner and Lawrence Dobkin.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
