Gunsmoke presents “Sweet and Sour,” episode 226 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast August 5, 1956. Written by John Meston and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, it stars William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon.
When Rena Decker arrives in Dodge City, the attention she receives from the town’s men soon becomes a source of mounting tension. Matt Dillon tries to help the newcomer find her footing as rivalries threaten to turn dangerous.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
