Gunsmoke presents “Brother Whelp,” episode 241 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast on November 18, 1956. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon, in a script by Les Crutchfield.
A gunman returns to Dodge City after six years away and finds his brother has inherited the family ranch—and married the woman he once loved. As old resentments flare at the Rutger ranch, Matt Dillon must contend with a volatile family conflict. Guest performers include Lawrence Dobkin, Vic Perrin, and Lillian Buyeff.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
