Gunsmoke presents “Kitty’s Kidnap,” episode 375 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast on June 14, 1959. Written by Marian Clark, this late-run drama stars William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Georgia Ellis as Kitty Russell and Parley Baer as Chester Proudfoot.
When Dillon and Chester interrupt an attempted lynching, they discover the prisoner is a dangerous outlaw wanted for robbery and murder. But once he is locked up in Dodge City, his gang arrives with a perilous plan that places Kitty in the middle of a desperate bargain.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
