Suspense presents “The White Rose Murders,” originally broadcast July 6, 1943. This local archival recording is identified as episode 6. Starring Maureen O’Hara, the CBS drama adapts Cornell Woolrich’s “The Death Rose.”
A serial killer is targeting young women and leaving a single white rose behind. When police detective Terry Riley faces mounting pressure to solve the case, society girl Ginny Trowbridge volunteers to act as bait in a dangerous effort to draw out the murderer.
Suspense presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
