Suspense presents “The Angel of Death,” originally broadcast January 3, 1946. This archival recording is identified as episode number 3. Paul Henreid stars as John Forsyth in a drama written by Alan Cameron and produced and directed by William Spier for CBS.
On New Year’s Eve in London, the coolly self-assured Forsyth learns of a betrayal involving his wife and closest friend. Framed through his measured account and courtroom testimony, the story follows a man whose faith in his own intellect makes every decision feel chillingly deliberate.
Suspense presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
