The Shadow presents “Sandhog Murders,” originally broadcast November 26, 1939. This Mutual network installment is episode 175 in OTRR Library numbering and stars Bill Johnstone as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow, with Marjorie Anderson as Margot Lane.
When a deadly failure in an intercity tunnel project’s depressurization system claims eight workers, Lamont and Margot investigate the peril surrounding the contractors and the unstable underground works. The industrial tunnel setting brings danger close beneath the city streets.
The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
