In 2013, nineteen-year-old Maureen Kelly vanished from the Gifford Pinchot National Forest after embarking on a "spiritual quest" while completely naked. Carrying only a fanny pack with minimal survival tools, she waded across Canyon Creek and disappeared into the dense, rugged wilderness. While initial theories favored accidental exposure or mental illness due to her state of undress and the unforgiving terrain, investigative breakthroughs suggest a more sinister possibility. Previously overlooked witness accounts describe three rowdy men crossing the river shortly after Kelly, followed by the sound of gunshots in the area. Despite extensive search efforts involving dozens of ground teams and K9 units, no trace of her has ever been found in the Washington wilderness. These conflicting narratives leave her family without closure, caught between the likelihood of hypothermia and the potential of a violent crime of opportunity.
