The Six Shooter presents “Cora Plummer Quincy,” originally broadcast on NBC on December 27, 1953. This is episode 15 of the James Stewart Western series, with Stewart as wandering cowboy Britt Ponset.
Caught in a hard rainstorm in Petersville, Britt takes shelter at the Jackson Hotel and reconnects with Calvin Plummer. Calvin fears that his widowed mother’s new husband, Oliver Quincy, may be more interested in the Plummer ranch and family money than in Cora herself. Written by Frank Burt and directed by Jack Johnstone, this sustaining broadcast builds a tense frontier family dispute around trust, inheritance, and uneasy motives.
Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
