Orange 9mm's Driver Not Included: Chaka Malik on Staying High, Surviving NYC & A New Sound

Orange 9mm's Chaka Malik joins We Wreck Records to celebrate 30 years of Driver Not Included, the genre-smashing record that fused chaos, consciousness, and a totally new sound. In this raw, honest conversation, Chaka reflects on the magic of 90s NYC, the record's emotional intensity, and how vulnerability—not volume—is the real power behind heavy music.
From Tribe Called Quest to spiritual awakenings, staying high to the real truth about addiction, hyponosis, finding your voice, slam dancing through to spinning in a chair in the dark to unlock melodies — this is a deep look at a record that still hits.
