I come here all the time
“いつもここに行くんだ / I come here all the time.”
“いつも ここに いくんだ / I come here all the time.”
Yesterday, I talked about the Michael Jackson movie,
and there was one scene in it that really stayed with me.
(I was watching it with Japanese subtitles.)
Michael was showing Bubbles (his pet) Neverland
from the Peter Pan picture book.
And then he said“I come here all the time,”
and I was shocked because I thought it would be “go,” not “come”!
It reminded me once again how difficult the difference
between go and come in English can be.
