How would you count these?
I learned something interesting from a book.
When the author went to Denmark, she bought ten souvenirs.
Apparently, the cashier counted them in groups of “3, 3, 3, 1.”
In Japan, we would usually count them in twos: “2, 4, 6, 8, 10,”
so I was surprised to see a different way of counting things!
How would you count them in your country?
【Today’s words】
※ We often count things in twos in Japan:
2, 4, 6, 8, 10
Then, for the next ten, we use the same rhythm again:
12, 14, 16, 18, 20
