The upcoming Peacock horror series Crystal Lake serves as an eight-episode prequel to the original Friday the 13th movie. Developed by Brad Caleb Kane, the psychological thriller focuses primarily on Pamela Voorhees as she struggles with the tragic drowning of her young son, Jason. Actress Linda Cardellini leads the cast as Pam, alongside Callum Vinson portraying a young Jason equipped with specialized prosthetics. The narrative explores Pam’s mental deterioration and the unsettling events sparked by strangers digging into her obscure past. All episodes of this character-driven project are scheduled to premiere on October 15.
