In this episode, I question the popularity of simple formulas and easy explanations in today's information culture. A single phrase I heard on another podcast—“a simple equation”—made me wonder why we are so attracted to reducing complex realities into neat principles. While clear explanations are valuable, oversimplification often removes important context, exceptions, and historical background. I argue that many people are not simply seeking knowledge but the feeling of understanding without investing the necessary effort. Real learning requires patience, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace complexity rather than constantly searching for shortcuts.
