Labour Party candidate for Mount Roskill, Michael Wood, says tackling the cost-of-living pressures facing New Zealanders would be a priority for Labour if elected.

Mr Wood joined Radio Tarana’s host Sanjesh Narain  for a wide-ranging discussion covering the economy, education, immigration, and the English-language requirement for bus drivers.

His comments come as Labour campaigns ahead of the 2026 General Election, with the party highlighting cost-of-living relief, healthcare, housing and jobs among its priorities.
