Everyone remembers David defeating Goliath.
But what if his greatest battle came years later... after the victories... after he became king?
In this episode of The Valiant Forge, Mark explores one of the most overlooked moments in David's life: the day he stayed home when kings were supposed to go to war. That single decision set off a chain of compromise that affected David, his family, and his kingdom for years.
This isn't just a story about David.
It's a warning for every man who has ever become comfortable, stopped fighting, or slowly drifted from the man God has called him to be.
Mark also shares part of his own story—how years of small compromises nearly led to destroying his own life—and why he started The Valiant Forge in the first place: to become the voice he wishes he had heard before he drifted too far.
Whether you're feeling spiritually stuck, growing complacent, or simply need a reminder to stay faithful, this conversation points to the hope found in repentance, God's grace, and His power to restore broken men.
