OCTA co-founder and COO Nupur Mittal spent weeks alongside finance teams, including Careem, to identify repetitive work that could be automated without disrupting accounting workflows. That research led to automation for invoice creation, customer follow-ups, document requests, and payment reconciliation. OCTA reports saving Careem more than 110 hours per month and reducing days sales outstanding by 24%. The company now focuses on accounting firms, using accountant testing and human approval for complex or lower-confidence tasks.
