Story Transcript:

En: It was a cool autumn day when Oksana and Yaroslav decided to go in search of the missing turtle.

En: Their friend Petro was very worried about his pet, so the boy and girl gathered to help him.

En: The old and abandoned warehouse looked as gray as the sky above.

En: But this did not stop Oksana.

En: Always ready for adventures, she turned on her phone's flashlight and was the first to step inside.

En: Yaroslav, although he had doubts, followed her.

En: Inside the warehouse, it was dark, with only occasional sun rays filtering through the broken windows.

En: The air was filled with the smell of rust and old wood, dust was everywhere, and scattered boxes lay around.

En: "Maybe it's hiding here somewhere," Oksana guessed, nodding toward one of the piles of boxes.

En: Yaroslav checked the door when suddenly it slammed shut behind them.

En: He tried to move the heavy old lock, but it would not budge.

Uk: "Ми застрягли?
En: "Are we stuck?"

En: he asked, trying to remain calm.

Uk: Оксана усміхнулась.
En: Oksana smiled.

En: "This is just another adventure," she winked.

Uk: Ярослав зітхнув.
En: Yaroslav sighed.

En: They needed to find another way out.

En: Oksana decided to cast light into the darkest corners of the warehouse, but as soon as she took a step forward, some strange sounds echoed.

En: Something big and dark was moving in the corner.

En: Yaroslav froze, while Oksana laughed: "See?

En: It's even more interesting than I thought."

En: He started to investigate the sound, hoping to finally see the turtle, but found only an old broom and a raccoon.

En: They both laughed with relief, realizing they were only frightened by an unremarkable raccoon.

En: Finally, Oksana noticed a window high in the wall.

En: Thanks to the slightly broken frame, it was loosely fitted.

En: With the help of a box, they could reach it.

En: Oksana opened the window and called Yaroslav: "Come on, maybe we'll find an exit in the fresh air."

En: They were about to climb out when they heard a faint whisper from outside: "Little turtle, little turtle!"

En: It was Petro, calling for his beloved pet.

En: It turned out that the turtle had returned home by itself!

En: Oksana, smiling and a bit tired, turned to Yaroslav: "You know, maybe we should think before we dive into something."

En: Yaroslav lightly smiled: "But now you know that adventures can sometimes be unexpected!"

En: Their adventure ended in time to return home for a warm cup of tea, leaving behind a bit more understanding and an adventurous spirit for both of them.
