Texas vs. The SEC: Biggest Concerns for the Final Stretch

The Sideline Debate crew identifies the biggest concerns facing Texas as the Longhorns begin eight consecutive SEC games. The offense still lacks a consistent identity, the rushing attack has gone 108 straight carries without gaining 20 yards and a loaded passing game continues to underachieve. Can Arch Manning, the interior offensive line and an injury-plagued running back room find answers before Oklahoma?

The panel also examines Texas’ alarming penalty problem after the Longhorns surrendered more than 200 penalty yards over their last two games. Will Muschamp’s elite defense has carried the team through its uneven start but it cannot overcome offensive inconsistency, poor field position and self-inflicted mistakes every week.
